What the role involves
- Lead units of around 400 students with teaching teams of around 10 tutors per unit, as Chief Examiner accountable for curriculum, assessment, results and quality assurance.
- Redesigned curriculum and assessment from the ground up in the units I lead, most notably FIT2095 and FIT2081: new lecture content, lab and tutorial programs, working reference applications, assignments, rubrics and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate delivery across campuses to keep content, assessment and marking consistent for every student cohort.
- Recruit, onboard and lead tutor teams, running orientation and moderation sessions before and during semester to maintain marking quality and consistency.
- Resolve academic, technical and administrative issues for students and staff, and supervise final-year computer science projects.
